As we have seen sports come back into the public eye after the issues brought about by Coronavirus – with games across Football and Cricket taking place, it got us excited in the office for the return of Rugby.

Obviously, the famous Lions Rugby Shirt is highly sought after and incredibly collectible amongst Lions Rugby fans of all ages, however, we can’t currently tell you when the Lion Rugby Shirt 2021 will be released or indeed when the full collection of British and Irish Lions 2021 merchandise will be available yet – but we can talk about the tour itself.

Whilst we have Premiership Rugby to look forward to, among other domestic competitions in Wales, Scotland, France and so on. Next year also marks another chapter in the tale of the British & Irish Lions Rugby tour – this time of the current World Champions, South Africa.

Given the tour will be succeeding a year that has been entirely awful and we want to forget it – we thought we would discuss three reasons to look forward to the British and Irish Lions tour of South Africa in 2021.

• Similar Time Zone to UK and Ireland - Similar time zones mean we you can watch the games in UK & Ireland at a normal time. I.E. Be in the pubs at an acceptable time to our better halves!

• Avenge 2009 – With a lot of talent going tonto the tour of 2009 – looking to avenge the shutout of 2005 tour –the Lions will be looking to overturn a 2-1 loss from last time.

• Given the success in recent years of the home nations, you’d expect a strong squad to go up against the reigning champions – which should culminate in some cracking rugby matches!
