Beyond the Listing #1

Matthew Buckland |

When we stock different rugby teams, club team or international teams, we like to look at how they have done during their fixtures throughout the weeks that they play. Obviously we want to sell these garments to the fans of the respective teams, but we look 'Beyond the Listing' and track the success of each team.

Gallagher Premiership

The weekend of 17th-19th September 2021 saw the beginning of the Gallagher Premiership fixtures.

The first of our teams we stock is Northampton Saints, who took on Gloucester Rugby at Cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens. Northampton kicked off their season with a 34-20 victory - giving themselves the best start possible to make the play offs this year.

Sale Sharks took another one of our teams we stock at Absolute Rugby, Bath Rugby at AJ Bell Stadium. It took a dramatic last minute Penalty from Kieran Wilkinson snatched a 20-19 last gasp victory for Sale Sharks.

The last of our teams we look at this week, and our latest Gallagher Premiership team we stock, is the Newcastle Falcons - as they took on the Champions, Harlequins at Kingston Park Stadium. Whilst providing Quins' with a stern test, Newcastle Falcons just fell short with a 20-26 loss.

French Top 14

This same weekend saw the 3rd week of fixtures in the Top 14 in France, where a number of teams we stock here at Absolute Rugby were in action.

Lyon absolutely dominated Perpignan in a 47-3 win at home.

Pau took a loss against Brive - losing away 30-13.

Racing 92 joined Pau with a loss on week 3, losing 28-19 against Biarritz.

Clermont took the win against La Rochelle within a point, winning 23-22, which was a similar story for Toulouse playing away at Montpellier - with Toulouse winning 17-15.

Finally, Toulon run out worthy winners against Stade Francais - finishing the game with a 38-5 victory.
